Established May 28, 1895, the Owensboro Family YMCA has served the Greater Daviess County communities for 130 years. We have been blessed to serve the community as it has grown and progressed. The final two words of our mission statement, "for all", indicate our continuing goal of inclusion for any that wish to enjoy a YMCA experience. Regardless of race, religion, age, income, social status, or other demographics, the Y welcomes all and serves the community as a gathering place and safe haven. While often considered a gym, the Y is much more and focuses on Spirit, Mind and Body while weaving our core values of Faith, Respect, Responsibility Caring and Honesty into our programs.
